Study Skills

Effective study skills do not come naturally to anyone.
Creating effective study habits, time management skills, and efficient homework habits are just a few of the focus areas for stellar learning.

DEVELOP A WISE MINDSET

BellaMenti coaches your student to develop better study habits and grit. In order to start this learning process, it is pertinent to focus first on your student’s intent.

This means helping your student know what they want out of different levels of their lives–the moment, the week, the school year, etc.

Some examples of how we do this are included, but not limited to:

  • Creating goals
  • Having guiding questions
  • Thinking critically
  • Instilling self awareness

TAKE CHARGE OF YOUR ENVIRONMENTS

When your student’s environment and time is organized and managed, it reduces stress as well as frees up your student’s ability to learn effectively.

This requires your student’s self-awareness of their intent and a solid Plan of Action.

At BellaMenti we coach your student to:

  • Take charge of their environment at school and home
  • Manage their time
  • Organize their space

DEVELOP A STRONG SKILLS SET

There is an abundance of information about effective study skills. In order to know which skills your student should develop depends on how well they are controlling their intent and environment, and following their Plan of Action (PA).

BellaMenti guides students in developing their own set of the most appropriate learning skills such as:

  • Planning for class
  • Participating in class
  • Communicating with the teacher
  • Test taking skills
